Suicide is preventable!!  The Veterans Administration (VA) is actively working on solutions to significantly curb, and ultimately bring an end to these tragic events. It is the VA's highest clinical priority...and You can help!

Suicidal rates for veterans is unfortunately the highest among "ALL" the U.S. population. That rate is currently 1.5 time higher than all others, and rising. In 2020, an average of 16.8 veterans committed suicide everyday. That figure is now a dreadful 22 incidents daily! Most of these tragic deaths are among our young veterans, between ages 18-34.

Several factors contribute to suicidal activity to include; Substance abuse and increased drinking binges, Mental health conditions-PTSD, Insomnia, Higher doses of medical opiods for pain, Stress, Anxiety, and even Low Cholestorol. If you have, or notice any of these disorders affecting your loved ones, help has been made available through VA MISSIONS ACT 2018.

Comprehensive help is there with addressing those sighs of potential suicide. Obtain more much needed information at  VA.gov/REACH.
