They misrepresent themselves as government officials thru emails or calls asking you for upfront money.
They may offer you gifts or prizes for upfront payments in order to receive those gifts.
They may ask for money wires.
Seek access to your finances such as debit card, bank account, credit cards, investment accounts.
They may use urgency and high pressure tactics. Pressuring you to "act now."
